The Walnut Restaurant’s story began 50+ years ago as an elegant and daring restaurant that changed the scape of Brisbane’s dining. Powerful media professionals and big-name celebrities were beckoned by the sense of seclusion and alluring décor defined by walnut paneling. At the same time, they freely shared the Walnut’s opulent atmosphere with Brisbane locals.

 

Today, The Walnut Restaurant boasts that same classic elegance, complete with exquisite Egyptian crystal chandeliers, that has made it a Brisbane favourite for decades. Guests will find the intimate atmosphere ideal for either a casual dining experience or a sophisticated evening.  We serve modern Australian cuisine, artfully crafted from locally sourced ingredients by our talented Chefs, complemented by a thoughtful beverage list which includes regional and international wines, locally distilled spirits, classic cocktails and regional brews.
